Acting Lead Tutor - Jack Herbert
Jack began performing when he was 14 and was himself a student at Basics. He played many leading roles in Basics’ productions such as 42nd Street, Anything Goes and Miss Saigon and has more recently performed with other local adult theatre groups and the National Youth Theatre. There’s no questioning Jack’s talents. A keen musician and musical director, his singing and musical skills are unrivalled locally. However Jack is also an accomplished actor and has himself taken a show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He delivers acting and music programmes throughout primary and secondary schools in East Lancashire. Basics are very fortunate to count Jack as a key member of the production team.
Musical Theatre Lead Tutor - Leanne Bradshaw
Leanne began her studies at the age of 5 when she first joined Basics, only leaving at age 19 when she auditioned for a place at Phil Winstons’ Theatreworks, Blackpool. After graduating from theatre school, Leanne worked and performed professionally for many years, in hundreds of productions throughout the UK with theatre companies. She particularly enjoyed performing with the Centre Parcs’ Production Team at Whinfell Forest and also embarked on a tour with the theatre company, performing in “Westend to Broadway”. In 2011, Leanne moved back to her hometown and has been teaching Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre ever since, specialising in the LAMDA examinations. She is very excited to be back in the rehearsal room at Basics where her love for performing began. Basics has always had a very special place in her heart.
