Basics Junior Theatre School – Junior Company

Students in our Junior company rehearse throughout the year to perform their own full-scale musical at the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre every December – an invaluable opportunity to shine on a professional stage. This group also affords students automatic entry to the upper school’s Senior company once they reach Year 9.

Basics Juniors and our method of training is ideal for anybody with a passion for performing arts and who is looking to build skills and confidence in a professional, inspiring and friendly environment. Many of our former students have gone on to successfully audition for vocational schools in London and indeed many former students are enjoying successful careers in the West End and on Cruise Ships worldwide.

Entry is by audition only and is the ideal progression from Basics Shining Stars.

At Basics your child will develop in confidence and skills and encourage them to become dynamic, confident young performers in preparation to join our award winning senior performers group.

Our Musical Theatre Training Programme

Each year’s production varies depending on the musical rights secured and the roles cast, meaning rehearsal demands differ from show to show. To ensure consistent development, our dedicated Singing, Dancing and Acting programme runs alongside rehearsals, offering structured, progressive training that strengthens technique, versatility and stagecraft.

This balanced schedule ensures students grow as both individual performers and as part of a cohesive cast.

Participation in both weekly rehearsals and triple-threat classes is strongly encouraged and may be required as a condition of joining the group.

The Junior Company Programme is £95 + VAT (£114) per month

Designed for young performers ready to commit to a higher level of discipline, development and performance excellence, our Junior Company is an exciting next step for students who show exceptional talent, strong potential, and a genuine passion for advancing their skills.
